I am posting our first question, which was actually received via email…

“I am trying to find the value of something that I bought at a sale this past weekend. My daughter and I have searched the web and can’t find this anywhere. It is a kitchen. It is called Minnie’s Kitchen. It is the perfect height for a toddler to play with. On the left bottom it says American Toy and Furniture Inc. Co. On the right bottom is The Walt Disney Co. It is in
good condition. The double sink is red with black handles. Over the stove is a red hood. I have done estate sales for 20 years and have never seen anything like this. It looks like it was made in the 50’s. Can you help me or tell me where I can find the value. I bought it for my grandchildren to play with but I am having second thoughts.”

Unfortunately I was not able to find any information about this piece. It sounds very interesting and I’m suprised that I came up empty-handed. Please comment below if you have any clues to help our friend out.

I have 3 Davy Crockett Costumes from the Bland Charnas company from Stamford, Ct. These are probably from the mid 1950’s. The costumes have never been out of the box and consist of vest, pants and coonskin cap. The boxes are old since sitting on warehouse shelfs for 50 years.
What would be the worth of these. Thanks

  • 3 Disneyman // May 3, 2007 at 12:42 am

    Ron-

Sounds like you made a nice find, especially since these costumes have been stored well.

If the box and costume are in near mint condition, then each item is probably worth about $50 - $75. There are a number of vintage Halloween costume colectors out there, so don’t limit yourself to Disneyana fans if you are trying to sell.

    Good Luck!

I have an 8mm short reel titled
“Mickey’s Flytrap” that is in great condition. It is in the original box and it has the number 1520 A on it and mentions Hollywood Films. Do you know how much it is worth and where I may be able to sell it?

  • 5 Disneyman // May 17, 2007 at 1:56 am

    Hi Gayla-

Can you search to see if there is a date posted anywhere?

  • 6 Gayla // May 17, 2007 at 9:12 pm

We have thoroughly searched for a date and found none. We can’t even find the title listed in the Disney or Mickey archive.

  • 7 Disneyman // May 18, 2007 at 2:36 am

    Hmmm…this is definitely a stumper!

I am super busy right now and cannot devote alot of time to searching for more info.

I might recommend taking some pics and posting it on the Disneyana forum on ebay - you can find more info about them in this post http://disneymemorabilia.com/collectors-corner/disneyana-buying-guide

I will try to do more research this weekend. In the meantime, I wouldn’t sell it until you have received at least 3 offers, along with some sort of verification of the items origin.

Let us know if you find out more!

i have a 7inch 33rpm single of the main street light parade from 1980 do you think this is worth anything

  • 11 Disneyman // May 29, 2007 at 1:28 am

    Danielle-
Thanks for the question. Your item does not hold much value from a collector’s standpoint. These records were mass produced and there are many still available on the market…perhaps $10.

Can you help? Do you have any knowledge or information about the Talkin’ Looney Tunes Characters? The stuffed characters were make by Play.By. Play Toys and Novelties Co. with the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes logo on the front of the box. The Bug Bunny & Daffy Duck character’s are about 18″ in heigth and when you squeeze their hands they communicate back and forth with each other.

  • 13 Disneyman // Jun 4, 2007 at 3:20 am

Sorry Maddie - I have no knowledge about these items. Looney tunes are not considered part of the Disney family, so maybe you would have more luck on more targeted website.

    Good Luck - D-Man

i have just got hold of a disney LP^version French
Mary Poppins just wondered if it was worth anything?

  • 16 Disneyman // Jun 9, 2007 at 1:59 am

    Andy-
Most Disney records have very little value ($2 - $10). The two Mary Poppins US albums I know of range in value from$10 to $20 in mint condition. I would think the french versions would be worth a little less than that.

    Hope this helps!

    Please Help!
My wife and I purchase two Ludwig Von Drake Original Production Celluloids at an auction. One has Ludwig with a guitar, the other has Ludwig with a french horn. There is writing underneath both cells. We are not sure if this is a common thing for the production cells to have writing or if the previous owner, (who is deceased) wrote on them. I do hope that you have information regarding this. I can send pics of the celluloids if you like.
    Thank you so much!

Short pencil tags and signatures are sometimes found on animation cells, but it should not be on the actual artwork.

Hi a friend of mine has a bronze statue of the Horned king from black cauldron. i was wondering if you knew the history behind this piece, value anything really. i have looked everywhere and cannot find anything. any help would be appreciated. thank you

  • 21 Disneyman // Jun 23, 2007 at 12:38 am

    Hi Frank-

I could not find anything matching your description. Black Cauldron memorabilia is pretty limited, so you may have a unique piece on your hands.

Check for a date or stamp of some kind. The movie was released in1985, so anything in that time period would be more valuable.

    Good Luck

I have a “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs” doll set. It dates from the mid to late 1950’s, and I do not have the original box. None of the dolls are marked, so I do not know who the maker might be, but all of the dwarfs do have the Disney trade mark on them.
Snow White is approximately 20 inches tall. She is vinyl, with vinyl hair and movable joints (neck, arms, legs. She is in her original, albeit dirty, clothes.
Each of the dwarfs is 8 inches tall, made of colored, molded vinyl and each has his name written on him. I’d like some information on the set.

I also have a set of 1930’s glasses (possibly from cheese or jelly) of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. Each glass also has a short poem on it. Does anyone have any information on these?

    Thank you

I have a Euro Disney Main Street Railway Station brass Logo. It was used as a template during the construction, but not used.

    Has this any collectable value?

I found a Alice in Wonderland LP in my parents record collection. It looks like it was made in 1968. It has a number of DQ-1208. Just curious.

    Thanks

I have a set of eight tumblers, one each for Snow White and the Seven Dwarts, and each having a verse pertaining to that person on the back. These were put out by Coca Cola shortly after the movie was released. Do you have any information on these, if so, what would be their value?

I am offering some information for frank cairo’s question regarding the horned king bronze overlay statue from the Black Cauldron. There were 15 built specifically to promote the movie back in 1985. They were done by the w.e.d. display dept. in orlando florida. They are made of resin with bronze overlay. Several were sent to N.Y. City for the premiere @ radio city music hall. Remainder were sold @ WDW & Disneyland in Disneyana shop. 2 were broken. I have 1 that was repaired by disney. Other 1 remains in Merchandising @ WDW still broken. I worked @ WDW ‘82-’87. His friend has 1 of the remaining 13. They sold for $750 in the shops. They were never numbered. My then father-in-law was Supervisor responsible for the pieces. They required lots of labor hours & I think cost more to produce than they sold for. I have never seen 1 up for sale anywhere. Disneyana shops have no clue or info on these pieces. Black Cauldron movie was only 1 to receive R rating when it came out in theatres. It was rereleased on video softer with PG rating. Less violence. Disney has kept it low-key due to this. Let me know if I can be of more assistance. Sincerely, Jean-Marc ( came across this site today 5/6/08 ) PS I think they should be worth some money, considering uniqueness & low production. They should be sold @ Sotheby’s or something like that, maybe.
