Need Feedback on Found Disney Item
« on: November 22, 2007, 08:01:48 PM »
Hi.  My Uncle was an artist and cartoonist that died three years ago, he was 88.  When he passed my Mother, put all of his drawings etc. in our storage building.  My Mom passed last month and my sister and I have been going through the storage building cleaning it out in order to sell the house.  Anyway, it seems that my Uncle was interested in joining Disney Studios back in the 1930's as an animator.  I came across a pamphlet that was sent to him entitled "An Introduction to the Walt Disney Studios".  It was copyrighted by Walt Disney Studios in 1938 and is a detailed account of how to apply to be an animator, background on the Studios etc.  It is 31 pages and has a lot of character drawings throughout.  I would consider it in good condition.  I was wondering if anyone knew if this was something that is a common collectible, or if anyone had ever heard of this pamphlet and where I might find out more information on it's importance to the infancy of the Walt Disney company.  Thanks for any help.
