Is This Real?
« on: January 10, 2011, 06:37:16 AM »
This was purchased from a guy that sells alot of autographed items and has good feedback and he lives in Hollywood C.A. He said he was a VIP at the El Capitan Theater when Tron Legacy had its premier party. The seller said only 25 of these were given to the VIPs. He had a pic of his ticket aswell. So is this the real deal? Any help will be appreciated.

It's pretty much impossible to absolutely authenticate things like this by seeing a picture here in the forum.  But I believe it's a real autographed souvenir.  Disney put a lot of effort into promoting TRON Legacy, and this is the sort of thing they do.  Exactly how these things were distributed is something you'll want to investigate as thoroughly as you can so you can add some spice to it if you ever want to sell it.  I could only guess at the value.  There are avid TRON collectors out there, but its the sort of thing that you have to be patient with if you want the maximum value.  A week-long eBay auction isn't likely to net very much on this sort of thing, but in a good Disneyana auction or at a Disney collectibles show it could do very well.  Nice find.
