Mickey Mouse Hankie
« on: September 06, 2010, 02:33:23 PM »
I have a Mickey Mouse Hankie that my Grandmother gave me many years ago (30+). It seemed old when she gave it to me, but I have no idea the age or value so I'm wondering if anyone here has any ideas? I did research the style of Mickey, and it seems that this particular style dates between 1939 and 1941 at which time they added long pants to Mickey. There are no markings on the hankie other than the little caricatures of Mickey performing various sports. If you run your finger over each caricature you can feel that the outlines of the designs are a bit raised. There is some yellowing of the fabric. It was never used, therefore never washed so the fabric is still a little stiff.  I would appreciate any input anyone may have.
Thank you!!!

Your hankie is cute and certainly reminiscent of the 1930's and 40's, but the value is pretty nominal.  These items rarely sell for more than a few dollars, and considering the condition of yours, I think that's about all you could expect.  Good luck!

Thank you Rick! I'm not sure I'd sell it anyway since it was a gift from my grandmother.....it's worth more to me than a few bucks  :)
Thank you for your input! I appreciate it.
