Help With a tomorrwland piece. Looks like fifties.
« on: August 18, 2010, 05:00:28 AM »
I found and bought a Disneyland Tomorrowland Solar Engine. It's a basic radiometer toy. A sealed glass bulb with a spinning piece inside the toy. It came in an orange and yellow box that said "Fun with Science" Looks old to me, maybe 50's or 60's. Anybody have any info on this toy?

Over the years, the parks have sold a lot of science toys in Tomorrowland.  Unless your radiometer has a marking that indicates it came from the park, it has no tangible connection to Disney or Disneyland except as the place of purchase, and won't have any particular value as a collectible.  Does yours say "Disneyland" or "Tomorrowland" on it?
