Hi everyone. My name is Nick and I'm new to this forum.
I was looking to get some more information on a Mickey Mouse statue that my friend and I have. I have attached a picture of the statue, so you can see what I'm talking about. The following is the information I have on this statue;
In 1994 the Walt Disney Company commissioned four Sorcerer's Apprentice statues to be created from a single piece of crystal. Walt Disney Company commissioned these pieces of art to celebrate the opening of the forth Magic Kingdom in Tokyo. There were only four of these pieces made and each one is completely unique since they were made by hand. The statue is caved on one side and flat on the other side. Additionally the statue is painted in the correct colors using original cell paint that was used on the original Fantasia animated film.
The statue was secured by one of our friends in 1994 and was transferred to his ownership at the Disney Gallery at the Magic Kingdom Park in Anaheim, CA. The statue was on loan by him and placed on display at the Disney Gallery through 1994. In 1995 he returned to the Disney Gallery in Anaheim, CA and the statue was packaged under his supervision and returned to him and placed on display in his private collection.
Have you ever seen one of these before or know anything about it? I would appreciate any feedback I can get.
Thank you for your time.
Nick
