Why do you collect Disneyana?

I'm interested in learning about why people collect Disneyana. Can you tell me:

What do you collect? (buttons, pins, dolls, other??)
How and why did you begin collecting?
What motivates you to maintain your collection?  
Why do you collect a particular item?
Are you influenced at all to purchase or maintain a collection?

I collect Mickey and Minnie Mouse stuff because I think they are really cheerful and they make me smile. I collect EVERYTHING including park guides from the parks, and everything they both feature on. Started collecting in 2007 when a friend of mine asked me what I did as a hobby - I didnt really have a hobby so I took up collecting Mickey and Minnie. Theres so much stuff out there that I cannot stop collecting - I keep everything on a spreadsheet and I have over 3000 items in my collection
