The Disneyana forums on eBay are great way to meet other Disney collectors, and find out who the best sellers are to buy from.  You will also find many helpful users who can identify mystery items and provide helpful tips.  Today I found an eBay member who posted this scam warning that could save the community thousands in lost revenues.

…” This is a warning to all sellers....I am a very frustrated eBay self representing artist, at the moment. Someone hacked into my last auction by sending me an email through my “ask seller a question” saying: Please confirm if this is the same item with the one listed on this address: and then they gave an address that I copied and pasted into my address bar. BIG MISTAKE! This allowed them to get into my listing and cancel all my bids. They then contacted my bidders asking them if they wanted to buy my painting direct. I am just sending a warning to other eBay sellers and buyers. Beware of suspicious emails and offers. EBay withdrew the auction after I contacted them, and now I have to list again. I just hope that the bidders will come back!”…

This is one of many reasons to visit the forums at least once a week.  You never know when a great piece of advice like this will be posted.
