Disney figurines have evolved into a one of the widest ranging niches in Disneyana collecting. From classic figurines commissioned by outside artists, to the modern figurine lines produced by Disney, most figurine collectors have a favorite focus for this hobby. Modern Disney figurines are purchased from the Walt Disney Collectors Society, home of the Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC). The society was established in January 1993, and offered the first figurines created by the Disney Company. Disney now partners with the Enesco Corporation to manufacture the Walt Disney Classic Collection and coordinate the events and membership of club.
