I have a watch with the Disney character, Goofy, on it. My husband and I bought it for our eldest son when he was 5 years old, so it is 30 years old now. I have 2 wood cap guns each with a Disney shipping label on the handle. Does anyone have any idea where they might be from? The sticker is on both guns so maybe they were shipped to someone at a Disney theme park? Were they part of a game? They look like cap guns but the red cap does not come off. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d180/sloppypickle/dizgun.jpg

  • 58 Jon // Feb 23, 2009 at 10:51 pm

(have you seen the following web article? Jon)

    UNIQUE DISNEYLAND MEMORABILIA !

This is Dave MacPherson. My claim to fame is that I waited in line for eight hours early on Monday, July 18, 1955 and bought the first ticket sold at Disneyland when it opened for the public. I won a lifetime pass good for me and three other persons for entrance to Disney parks worldwide – which consists of annual installments that arrive in January of each year.
According to Wikipedia and other sites, Roy Disney had reserved the first printed ticket for his family’s memorabilia. Shortly before I paid one dollar for the first ticket sold, a woman with two tots who had been way back in the line squeezed past me and I thought she was trying to crowd ahead of me to be first in line. I soon calmed down when Walt’s assistants told me that Walt wanted to pose with the two children named Christine and Michael who were hustled right by me without having to buy tickets. So I really was the very first Disney ticket buyer out of more than a billion persons who have bought tickets to various Disney parks!
Only in recent years have I learned that collectors will pay almost anything to obtain rare and unique Disney memorabilia.
I am happy to announce that I have the following unique Disneyland items I am offering to any interested collector who wants a safer investment than our current stock market:
    (1) My past several red VIP passes. My name is stamped on them and my signature is on the 2006 pass.
    (2) I am willing to sign an agreement to include all future passes as soon as I get them. They are not transferable but are one-of-a-kind since my name is on them.
    (3) The original newspaper clippings from the Los Angeles and Long Beach papers that covered my being the first Disneyland ticket buyer.
    (4) A Mickey Mouse blanket with my autograph on it.
I would want the buyer to meet with me at my bank in the small southern Utah town I live in, at which time I would transfer my collection for his cashier’s check. I would also be willing to pose for photos, be interviewed, etc.
If interested in my unique collection, contact me at . What would my collection be worth to you?

Disneyland’s No. 1 fan, Dave MacPherson

My family and I recently went to a Water Park near our home in Delaware and lost a beach towel that my husband and I got on an anniversary trip to Typhoon Lagoon in WDW, Florida in 1994. I am hoping that maybe someone out there has one that I might be able to purchase. It is a beach towel that has an aqua colored background with an underwater scene in bright colors with the words “TYPHOON LAGOON” written across the bottom. Would love to hear from anyone that might have one to sell. Thanks so much -

    Hello,
I need some help as I have some Disney ceramic plates which I need to get valued and, probably, sell. Perhaps somebody could help me.
There are 8 ceramic plates – in excellent mint condition. 5 have original box.
1 – 101 Dalmations – on the back there is written “Third in a series of collectible porcelain plates paying tribute to the classic animated films of the Walt Disney Studios. Designed and Manufactured exclusively for the Walt Disney Company.”

The rest are slightly different/smaller; On the back there is written a short paragraph about the film’s story and the date of the cartoon production release, as well as the words “Exclusively Distributed by Kenleys Ltd”. They are the following:
    2-The Sword and the Stone
    3-Alice in Wonderland
    4-The Aristo Cats
    5-Winnie the Pooh
    6-Robin Hood
    7-The Jungle Book
    8-The Fox and the Hound
2- The Sword in the Stone.

Subject: Sale of Walt Disney Classic Collection

    Hello,
We are a private family, living near Philadelphia, PA, who has collected the WDCC since it’s onset. We are now trying to sell our entire collection, which is approximately 775 pieces. These pieces are from the beginning (1992) through about 2008. Many pieces and sets are either retired or very rare and not available. We have limited edition as well as fill in pieces. We can’t sell LE pieces to lower the set value

We are looking to get our original investment back, not make a profit. The best prices we can give are for total sets which may include 20 or mor pieces, some with less.
We can send the attachment tomorrow if you are interested. We have the boxes and certs. Boxes were stored in larger cardboard boxes.

We will be away 1/17 through 1/22/12, but would be glad to entertain your thoughts when we get back.

Thank you, Carol 215-588-9453(cell) or 215-441-0599

FYI, your website is referenced on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disneyana/ If there are any Wiki editors out there I’d like to see someone start an Official Disneyana Convention Wiki page detailing the history of the event, participating artists, celebrities etc. I attended every convention and would love to see all those things preserved.
