Michael Flint has a wonderful resource on the "forgotten" Disney movies from the 1940s. Michael coins the term "the weird years" for these films and you can see why! There are a couple "infotainment" movies and also a couple Latin America travelogues in addition to the more normal "movies" most of us associate with Disney.
Each movie is reviewed and explained, just in case you're not up-to-snuff on your Disney movie trivia
The reviews available cover:
- THE RELUCTANT DRAGON
- SALUDOS AMIGOS
- VICTORY THROUGH AIR POWER
- THE THREE CABALLEROS
- MAKE MINE MUSIC
- FUN AND FANCY FREE
- MELODY TIME
- ICHABOD AND MR. TOAD
Each movie has some great photos of the classic artwork in addition to a couple of screen grabs. Be sure to check-out Michael's The Weird Years of Disney Animated Films for more information - it's some very interesting stuff!
