Bob Thomas autographed Art of Animation books available
Bob Thomas's daughter recently contacted me about selling several copies of The Art of Animation, which can be autographed and personalized by Bob himself. Click for more info.

This information is provided by the seller -- DisneyMemorabilia.com makes no guarantee whatsoever about the information below.

My father Bob Thomas, Disney historian, is 89 years old and is wanting to find homes for 9 brand new copies of the hardback edition of Disney's Art of Animation - From Mickey Mouse to Hercules (2nd edition, 1992 - Hyperion).

Be the first to request one of these 9 copies and we'll send you an autographed copy (with personalized message if requested) for $75.00 inclusive of shipping! (Note: international shipping will be an additional fee.)

Suitable as a coffee table book with a collectable vinticular (3-D like) cover and full color illustrations, it draws from material from unpublished interviews which my father did in 1957 with Walt Disney and his artists.

Disney's Art of Animation covers the birth of the Walt Disney corporation and follows the history of animation at the Disney Studios from the very beginnings to the huge phenomenon that it is today. It covers its struggles through the 30's, 40's and 50's, from it's pre-Snow White cartoons through the successes of "Sleeping Beauty", "Fantasia", "Alice in Wonderland", and Disney's last films "101 Dalmatians" and "The Jungle Book". The last chapters cover the "New Regime and Rebirth" of the Disney animated features such as "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin", "The Lion King", "Pocahontas", "Toy Story" and "Hercules".

The book is ideal for anyone interested in animation techniques, layouts, and background paintings and all the elements that go into the making of an animated film. The book had the full cooperation of the Studio with total access to its archives.
