With the rampant pin-mania that's sweeping Disney fans everywhere, Disney has released so many pins that you have to spend some serious cash if you want to collect them all. I suggest choosing a theme or two for your collection to help you stay organized and also to keep costs under control.
There are literally hundreds and hundreds of different Disney collectible pin designs out there. It's no wonder -- the pins are designed with beautiful artwork, bright colors, and of course, there's always the prospect that they might become seriously valuable someday.
But, with retail prices ranging from around $5 all the way to $15, being a Disney pin collector can really put the squeeze on your pocketbook! There's also the issue of organizing a large collection and trying to remember which pins you already have so you don't buy or trade for duplicates.
So, my pin collecting tip is to pick a couple themes that interest you and try to stick to only buying or trading for pins in those themes. For example, you might choose to collect only pins with Donald Duck on them. Or, perhaps if you're like me, you'd like to focus on the pins featuring the rides, attractions, and parks. No matter what you choose, you'll enjoy your collection and by sticking to your theme, you'll have far fewer pins to buy and keep track of!
Naturally, you'll occasionally find a pin that you really want that doesn't fit into your chosen themes, and when you do, go ahead and buy it, but at least if you try to stick to your themes, you'll have a better chance of walking away without too many random pins.
