Disney Memorabilia

Robert Olszewski is best known to Disneyana collectors as the man behind the Disney Storytime Collection of figurines.  Robert’s story is filled with artistic accomplishments beyond his well known Disney works.  You can read his full bibliography on his website.

Robert first became involved with Disney while working as a figurine designer at Goebel.  He designed a number of figurines under the Disney Goebel line, including the first figurine designed specifically for a Disneyana convention in 1994.  After leaving Goebel to start his own studio, Olszewski was signed on with Disney in 1995 to develop prototypes for their Enchanted Places line.  These miniature figurines were sold within the Walt Disney Classics Collection.

Beginning in 2000, Robert released his most popular works to date with the Story Time collection.  Each piece represents a magical moment from one of the many popular Disney animated movies.  Wonderfully detailed pieces were created from such films as Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh.  Each edition pressed no more than 5,000 pieces, and many were limited to 3,000 or less.  Even though the issue dates are relatively young compared to other Disneyana collectibles, they are still some of the most sought after figurines on the market.

More recently, Olszewski has produced the Disneyland Main Street USA collection.  This line of figurines features notable replication of different areas found at Disneyland.  To date the collection contains 12 buildings, 4 vehicles and 4 character packs.  Currently Robert is working on the completion of several miniatures for the Magic Kingdom in Orlando.
