Mickey Mouse Watches

February 17th, 2007 · 8 Comments

One of the first items of collectible Disneyana to attract a following is the famous Mickey Mouse wrist watch.  Disney has produced hundreds of variations of this popular item, and collectors are constantly on the lookout for vintage versions of this iconic symbol.

The first Mickey Mouse watch was manufactured in 1933 and had an original sticker price of $3.25.  The watched featured a round dial face with three small Mickeys that moved in unison to indicate the passing of the second hand.  I did some research on sales figures for this item and the most recent documented sale I could find was in 2004.  The seller offered an original 1933 Mickey Mouse watch graded in very fine condition which sold for $3650 (see image).  I would imagine that modern sales figures would reach closer to $5000.

I have a Mickey 60 Years ladies Lorus watch with leather band. It was a commemorative addition available during Mickey’s 60th birthday celebration at WDW. I’ve been searching for the value of it, any clues? Thank you.

I inherited my Grandma’s Mickey Mouse watch and would love to know its value. It’s a round dial with Mickey facing the left. He has red gloves and it has a red and yellow arrow for the second hand. # on back of dial is 10035-10262. Anyone have any idea?
