Jim Hill from jimhillmedia.com has an interesting post on his blog discussing the upcoming release of the Charles Ridgeway book: “Spinning Disney’s World”.  Charles is a former PR executive at Disney who helped to open the Walt Disney Resort in 1971.  Jim includes an overview of the book, but the best part of his post is the collection of pre-opening pictures of the resort included from his own files.  It is an interesting perception on the opening of this famous landmark and it definitely sparks my interest in reading the book.

Everyone’s favorite antique television show will be taping three episodes in Orlando beginning June 30, 2006.  The location of the event has yet to be determined, but producers expect to draw over 6,000 people hoping to have an item appraised.  Because of high demand, interested parties are asked to visit the PBS website for ticket instructions.  The Orlando sessions will be the only available offerings in the Southeast region.
